FAQ FOR ATTENDEES
Q. Is there a fee to attend?
A. No. Registration is FREE for the first 5,000 registrants.
After the first 5,000 registrants there is a registration fee of $8. There is a $10 Registration Fee if you register the day-of the Expo at the door.
Q. Is the ShowBiz Expo a beneficial event for my child?
A. Yes. Children/teenagers have ample opportunities to connect and meet significant people in the Entertainment Industry. Also, children/teens are able to audition for select open calls. Please visit here for info regarding guidelines for auditioning.
Q. If my child (under the age of 18) wants to attend a workshop at the Expo, as his/her guardian do I also have to sign up for a seat at the workshop?
A. Yes. If you sign your child up for a workshop, you must also sign up for a seat in the workshop.
Q. Can I sign up for an audition prior to the day of the Expo?
A. No. All audition registrations take place the day of the Expo. Since auditions are limited, we highly recommend arriving to the Expo early.
Q. Are children allowed to audition?
A. Yes. Children are allowed to audition for certain casting calls. Please click here for audition guidelines.
Q. If I purchased a Headshot Lane Mailbox, do I receive my mailbox prior to the day of the Expo?
A. No. If you have purchased a mailbox simply bring your headshot (and resume if you'd like) the day of the Expo and the ShowBiz Expo Staff will set up your mailbox for the day.
Q. Do I audition for a specific role/show?
A. No. Auditions are typically for all the productions they are currently casting.
Q. How do I purchase more items after I have already registered?
Q. When do I receive my Preferred Entrance Pass?
A. The Preferred Entrance Pass is usually sent a couple weeks prior to the Expo.
Q. Are you allowed to leave the Expo during the day?
A. Yes. Your badge allows you to come and go from the Expo as you like.
Q. Am I able to purchase items the day of the Expo?
A. Yes. You are able to upgrade your Badge at any time during the Expo. However, please be advised that some workshops, focus groups, roundtable meetings, headshot mailboxes and so on may be sold out by that time. We suggest purchasing these items in advance.
Q. How many headshots should I bring to the Expo?
A. If you are signed up for Headshot Lane, you must bring one headshot/resume for that. If you are auditioning it is advised that you bring a headshot/resume for each audition you attend. Also, it is also highly recommended to bring extra headshot/resumes for networking opportunities.
Q. If I purchased a preferred entrance pass do I have to wait in the registration line?
A. No. Since the preferred entrance pass is sent prior to the Expo, preferred entrance pass holders are able to enter the Expo hall without waiting in line.
Q. Am I able to get a refund for my purchase if I am unable to attend the Expo?
A. No. The ShowBiz Expo has a No-refund policy. This is outlined in our Terms of Use when you register.
Q. What materials should I bring to the Expo?
A. It is recommended to bring anything that will promote yourself in the business such as: business cards, resumes, headshots, contact information, portfolios, etc.
Q. Am I able to audition if I am not Equity?
A. Yes. Anyone may audition at our casting calls.
Q. Am I able to register under my stage name?
A. Yes. If you have a stage name it is encouraged that you register under your stage name, because that is the name that will appear on your badge.
